2. What we collect

• Whatever is contained in an email, if you write to us directly

3. Cookies, analytics and the map

This site does not use cookies. There is no analytics tool and no advertising, and no external script is loaded — the code that draws the map is served from this site too.

The About page does carry a map, and its images (tiles) are fetched from the OpenStreetMap Foundation (United Kingdom), which receives your IP address in the process. That is not information we receive. The map loads only if you scroll far enough down the page to reach it.

On every other page, if you only read the site, we collect no personal information from you at all.

4. Purpose of use

Personal information is used only for the following purposes.

• Replying to your enquiry and any correspondence needed to do so
• Assessing, quoting for and carrying out work you ask us about

5. Disclosure to third parties

We do not disclose personal information to third parties without your consent, except where required by law. We do not sell or share it as a list.

6. Processors and transfer outside Japan

We use the following providers to serve the site, to run the enquiry form and to show the map. All are outside Japan, so the information leaves the country. Where they act on our instructions, they handle data only to the extent necessary and we supervise them.

• Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) — hosting, and bot protection on the form
• Resend (United States) — delivering the contents of your enquiry by email
• OpenStreetMap Foundation (United Kingdom) — the map tiles on the About page. Fetching a tile sends your IP address to the Foundation

7. Security

All communication with this site is encrypted with TLS. Access to the information you send is limited to those who need it for the work.

8. Retention

We delete personal information within a reasonable period once its purpose has been met. Where an engagement is ongoing, we retain it for as long as that requires.

9. Disclosure, correction and suspension requests

We respond in accordance with the law to requests from you to disclose, correct, add to, delete, suspend the use of, or stop the third-party provision of your retained personal data. Please use the contact point below. We may need to verify your identity first.

10. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy as the law or our practice changes. Any revision will be noted with its date on this page.
